Notion

The Notion source enables searching for Notion pages and fetching their data in Markdown format.

Add your Notion API key

To access your Notion data, you need to obtain a Notion Access Token with permissions to the relevant pages and databases.

Next, you can add the API key in the Mesh Notion settings:

1. Open the application menu (Three dots) at the top right corner, and press Setting to open the settings dialog

2. Select the Notion tab from the tabs selection row at the top

3. Select API Integration from the left navigation pane.

4. Enter the Notion API key and press Save and Connect

Search Notion pages

Once you have set up your Notion access token, you can immediately start searching for Notion pages. Pages can be found in 3 ways:

  • Searching for text in the page
  • Searching by Page ID
  • Searching by Page Link URL

To search for a Notion page, select β€œNotion” in the Source panel, and enter the text in the search textbox. Press enter or the search button πŸ”Ž to start searching.

To switch between the different search modes, simply click on the search mode icon on the left side of the search box and select the search mode from the menu.

Get the Notion page content

Mesh will display all Notion page search results in the results list below the search box. Hovering over each search result will expose the action buttons:

  • Open - will open the Notion page in your browser.
  • Copy - will copy the Notion page content to the clipboard in Markdown format. By default, the Notion page Markdown content will be scanned by the Privacy Scanner before copying. A warning dialog will appear if any private data was detected before copying the data to the clipboard.
  • Add - add the current Notion page to the stack. The Notion page content will be converted into Markdown format before adding it to the stack, where it can be edited and reloaded from Notion if needed.
